The role you’ll contribute:
The Assistant Director is responsible to the Director in the daily planning, organizing, developing and directing of departmental operations within regulatory guidelines in accordance with the hospital's mission, physician and patient expectations. Assists in developing and monitoring the clinical integrity of assigned programs. All essential functions must be performed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable Individuals with qualified disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Manages department personnel by maintaining professional practice standards according to accrediting bodies, federal and state regulations, and organizational criteria.
Provides effective leadership and supervisory support to staff
Demonstrates leadership responsibility by developing and maintaining quality improvement goals that improve patient care in the Sebring and Lake Placid Emergency Departments (ED) and the Clinical decision Unit (CDU).
Communicates AdventHealth Heartland's vision and priorities
Provides fiscal management of department through efficient and effective management of budgetary constraints.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Three (3) years of management/leadership in Acute Care Nursing/ and or the ED
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
Communication skills to enhance and motivate staff
