Job Summary:* Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs.* Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.Essential Functions:* Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retro peritoneal, small parts and vascular. May perform cardiac procedures as required by entity. * Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).* Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timelymanner. * Prepares patient for exam. * Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs. * Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports / documents unusual occurrences and records patient's condition.* Communicates in writing and verbally with all physicians, imaging personnel, students and hospital staff in facilitating the continuum of care. Qualified external applicants with direct clinical experience are eligible for up to a $15,000 sign on bonus! The bonus will be taxed per IRS regulations. Additional relocation bonus may apply based on geographical location. Must be hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible. Some exclusions may apply. $400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek or Lake Counties. Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a Centura facility in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible). More details available upon offer.
