UCHealth has an excellent opportunity for a Full-time Advanced PracticePhysician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work with the UCHealth General Trauma Surgery team- Memorial HospitalCentral-Level I Trauma Center.
* Schedule- Supports a work-life balance. No call required. This position is FT. We arecurrently a 24/7 service with nights, holidays, and weekend shift coveragerequired.
* Our Team - Is a collaborative and cohesivegroup that includes 20 Surgeons, and 25 APPs who thrive on providing the bestsurgical care in the region.
Preferred:
* One-year minimum of Traumaand General Surgery as either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
* FullPrescriptive Authority is required.
The pay range for this position is $51.75/hour - $71.70/hour. Pay isdependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
Requirements for Physician Assistants
* Master's Degree in PhysicianAssistant Studies
* Unrestricted license topractice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
* Physician AssistantCertification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification ofPhysician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintainedthroughout employment
* Unrestricted Drug EnforcementAdministration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed inthe course of practice.
* Eligible to provide servicesreimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
* Eligible to provide serviceswith no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Officeof Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA)List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
* Unrestricted medical staffmembership, with appropriate practice privileges.
* Prescriptive authority asappropriate, per medical staff service privileging process.
* Advanced Cardiovascular LifeSupport (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or theAmerican Red Cross
* AdvancedTrauma Life Support (ATLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
* Master's degree in Nursing andgraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
* Nurse PractitionerCertification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) orNurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of NursePractitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is required for hire and must bemaintained throughout employment.
* Unrestricted Nurse Practitionerlicense issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice orcompact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement
* Unrestricted medical staffmembership, with appropriate practice privileges
* Full prescriptive authority
* Unrestricted Drug EnforcementAdministration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed inthe course of practice.
* Eligible to provide servicesreimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
