The Duke Division of General Internal Medicine is looking for a dedicated and skilled primary care physician to join our academic faculty practice at the Duke Outpatient Clinic. If you are a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with a desire to impact community health, we would like to talk to you.
Ideal candidates should board certified in internal medicine, and be eligible for a NC license. A balance of primary care practice and precepting will be expected and negotiated on an individual basis. This is a full-time salaried position within a strictly outpatient setting.
Participation in clinic leadership meetings is expected. Opportunities for involvement in clinic operations projects, quality improvement, and medical student and resident teaching are available.
We offer smaller than average patient panels, a focus on patient care and prevention, utilizing in-person and telehealth
Duke Outpatient Clinic is the largest internal medicine residency teaching site for the Duke internal medicine residency program.
Duke Outpatient Clinic also houses an innovative intensive case management program which is a collaborative effort between medicine faculty, medicine-psychiatry faculty, nurse practitioners, nurse case managers, and social workers.
The clinic enjoys on-site collaborative care with pharmacy services, endocrinology, cardiology, and physical therapy. Our multidisciplinary team is well resourced to support those in the highest need in our community.
