Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Austin is located in Oak Hill on the West US Highway 290 Service Road, just west of MoPac. Our full-service South Austin hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, as well as a 24/7 Emergency Department. We are proud to be a designated Primary Stroke Center, certified by The Joint Commission in collaboration with the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, providing rapid assessment and treatment for stroke patients.
The providers at our South Austin medical center offer a wide range of specialized treatments, including breast surgery, heart and vascular care, orthopedics, otolaryngology (ENT), women?s health, and urogynecology. Imaging, including 2D and 3D mammography are also offered.

Job Summary
The RN Cath Lab Manager promotes a helpful work environment. Patients, families, and staff receive compassionate care. They plan, implement, and assess policies. Manage budgets and resources, oversee improvement, and organize educational programs. They also participate in governance councils to meet priorities. This role involves providing nursing care.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Formulate and convey a clear plan for nursing procedures within your assigned area.
- Involve supervisors and team members in establishing and achieving departmental priorities.
- Establish a positive work atmosphere through shared management structures and processes that help research-based nursing protocol.
- Encourage team members' professional growth in areas of clinical and leadership skill.
- Stay updated on research-based practices and leverage this knowledge in improving care standards.
- Promote a therapeutic surrounding for patients, their families, and the nursing staff.
- Represent nursing staff in addressing the concerns of patients, families, and team members.
- Facilitate educational opportunities for patients and their families, nursing staff, and the community.
- Incorporate the organization's mission and goals into strategies for staff and patients.
- Passionately participate in governance and decision-making processes to enhance nursing procedures and workplace conditions.

Qualifications
- Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of (3) three years of experience in Cath Lab preferred.
- Required certifications: (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support, (RN) Registered Nurse license, (BLS) Basic Life Support. If not BLS certified, it must be completed within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
