Advanced Practice Provider Day-time Hospitalist Needed in Beautiful Western, NC
UNC Health Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. UNC Health Medical Group (UNCHMG) provides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our market from thirteen separate medical park locations throughout the county. Our 137-bed licensed hospital is a member of the UNC Health System located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains.
Position Details:
- Work with a team of experienced and highly skilled physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners
- Focus on teamwork, work-life balance, and flexibility
- Standardized documentation and extensive resources to ensure maximal efficiency and support while minimizing unnecessary and time-consuming duties
- 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p
- EMR - Epic
- In-house specialty backup available from Cardiology, Nephrology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Pulmonology, Podiatry, Urology

Education Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina.
- Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- No prior experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Demonstrated clinical competency.
- Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
- Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
- Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
